Sigurdur Rögnvaldsson is an Icelandic guitarist and guitar teacher. He has 10 years experience in guitar teaching. He moved to Finland in the autumn of 2011 and is currently teaching at the Music Institute in Kauniainen and the Swedish speaking Musikinstitutet Kungsvägen in Espoo.
In 2005 he moved from Iceland to Sweden to study at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg. He graduated his bachelor degree in 2008 with improvisation performance specialization.
2008-2011 he took is masters degree at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. The program is called Nordic Jazz Master and gave Sigurdur the opportunity to study at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and the Royal academy of Music in Århus as well as in Stockholm.
